PERMANENT EYELINER

How does permanent make up  work ?

Permanent makeup is essentially a tattoo that enhances your natural beauty. In fact, the procedure is much like that of getting a tattoo.  We apply the pigment with a needle, and eventually you may have to return for a touch-up to refresh the color.  At the consultation, we select a shade(s) that best suits you.

Benefits of Permanent Makeup

The most obvious benefit of permanent makeup is that it can save you time in the mornings.   Or that, you don't have to worry about your makeup smudging or transferring.  But there are many reasons how someone  can benefit from permanent makeup.  Such as  someone with physical disabilities or impaired motor skills (Arthritis, Parkinson's disease or Multiple Sclerosis),  someone who might have poor eyesight or contact wearers, those who are allergic to cosmetic makeup,  or someone who just doesn't want all that fuss in their morning routine.  People with hair loss conditions that cause them to lose their eyebrows may want to consider permanent makeup.  People with scars on their lips can find a benefit to permanent lip tattoo.  As you can see, permanent makeup can benefit many people, not just the ones that want to wake up beautiful!

Post treatment after care

Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results. If during your healing process you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

  • Ice packs protected with a cloth may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling. Sleeping slightly elevated also helps alleviate swelling.  Do not use ice packs on lip procedures.

  • Wash your hands before touching any treated area.  Aftercare cream should always be applied with a cotton swab. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust, etc.

  • Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and or infection.

  • No makeup is to be applied for 72 hours (three days) after the procedure on the treated area.  After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara for the first 10 days after the 3 days of no makeup. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.

  • Protect the treated area with aftercare cream before showering,  avoid skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for at least 3 days following your procedure.

  • Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, or extremely hot water for 2 weeks following your procedure.

  • Use a good sunscreen daily- even lips require protection. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics and may cause irritation even years later.

  • If you are planning chemical exfoliation, or other medical procedure, please inform your physician of your permanent makeup
