MICROBLADING AND POWDER BROWS

How does Microblading work ?

Manual Microstroking - often referred to as Microblading, originated in Asia and has become popular in the last few years all across the world.  Microblading is done by using a unique handheld instrument along with a row of very fine needles that deposit pigments into the epidermis with feathering strokes. This creates crisp fine strokes that mimics brow hair, giving you the look of natural fuller brows.

Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their brows regardless of how much brow hair is present.  Individuals who are suffering from alopecia, thinning brows or just tired of filling in their brows every morning is an ideal candidate!

Microblading is a 2 appointment procedure, which is included in the price.  After the initial appointment, you return in 4-6 weeks for a touch-up.  It is crucial to have a touch up done 4-6 weeks post procedure because it is difficult to predict how well the skin will take the pigment.

Depending on the individual, the results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

Advantages of Microblading:

  • It saves time in the mornings

  • It will save money in the long run

  • It can last up to 3 years

  • Brows will not smudge or smear off

  • Great for filling in thinning or bare brows

  • Pigments tend to stay true to color

  • Minimal care and touch ups required

Microblading Post Treatment Care

Day 1 (Day of treatment):  Wait 2 hours and let the wounds weep lymph.        After 2 hours, wipe off lymph with a moistened cotton pad. (Make sure you don't over saturate with too much water)  Then apply a thin layer of after care cream (given at appointment) with a cotton swab.  Wipe your brows with a moistened cotton pad every 2 hours and reapply a thin layer of cream.  This will ensure your brows won't scab.  At night, wash the treated area with warm water and a mild soap (e.g. Cetaphil)  making sure your hands are clean when working around the treated area.

Day 2-7:  Rinsing is not needed.  During this period, you should avoid wetting your brows.  However, do continue to apply cream 3-5  times a day.
